Voting for Te Aratai College Board election is open

Voting for our Board election is now open and closes on Wednesday 7 September.

Kia ora koutou. Talofa. Kia Orana. Malo e lelei. Bula. Fakaalofa atu. Namaste and Kumusta. Greetings to everyone at Te Aratai College and our wider Te Aratai community.

Board of Trustees elections

A school’s Board is made up of parents and other local committed community members. This ensures that the governance of each school remains true to a community’s values.

Therefore what the Board does matters, so we are lucky to have 9 people stand for the 5 Board positions.

There is considerable media interest in our school’s board election. I am not going to comment on this.

What I am pleased to comment on is the equally considerable community support over the past few days for our school’s affirmation of the positive power of diversity and inclusion. Our whānau know and treasure that Te Aratai College is a strongly values-based school. We are honoured to partner with our community and celebrate our being an inclusive multi-cultural community in our bi-cultural nation of Aotearoa-New Zealand.

We all thrive in our diversity.

If anyone is unsure of the voting process please contact the school office for the necessary information.

Schools can be complicated places.

There are many staff available to assist if whānau have a particular question. Contacting me can also be arranged through the office or my direct email is en@linwoodcollege.school.nz

My door is open.
